Connecting Art, Culture & Education

Every Cultural Threads collection begins with a young First Nations artist. Their artwork is carried into schools, workplaces and communities - creating visibility, connection and conversation.

Artists are recognised and paid for their work, while each purchase contributes to educational opportunity for First Nations students.

Mission

Our mission is to help Indigenous stories travel further.

We connect Indigenous artists with school communities, giving their stories a place to be seen, shared and worn.

When a school wears a Cultural Threads design, it carries a story with it — creating connection, encouraging understanding and supporting greater opportunities for young Indigenous people.

Because stories matter. The people who share them matter. And the opportunities they help create matter too.

Our Story

Cultural Threads grew from our experience working in education and boarding, witnessing the importance of opportunity, support and access to education for Indigenous students.

We saw the impact that education can have in creating pathways, building confidence and opening doors for young Indigenous people. This inspired us to create meaningful, artist-designed products that celebrate Indigenous culture and stories, while giving school communities a way to show their support and contribute to something bigger.

Through these designs, Cultural Threads gives back to organisations and foundations already supporting Indigenous students through scholarships, mentoring and education. Proceeds from every product help strengthen these programs, allowing them to reach more young people and create even greater opportunities for the next generation.
